As February 2008 drew to a close, the Balkans witnessed a historic moment that can create World War 4.

On 17 of February, Kosovo declared its independence from Serbia, in the geopolitical chess game that ensued, the United States and European Union countries.

For Serbia, the loss of Kosovo is not just a territorial matter but a profound blow to its national identity. Kosovo holds immense historical and cultural significance for Serbia.

To see Kosovo under the banner of independence is the result of World War 3 and the destruction of Yugoslavia.

The Balkans are at a crossroads again.. it is very sad to watch or write about political games that can lead to the death of thousands..

The Balkans should be united as one and glorious country, as it was during the Ottoman Empire.
